What happens when God gives you something that was never meant to stay with you?
In this powerful message, "Shared Fire," we continue our journey through Acts 8 and discover how the Holy Spirit works through unity, partnership, and surrendered hearts. Through the story of Simon, Philip, Peter, and John, we learn that salvation is the beginning of transformation—not the end. God isn't looking for spectators; He's raising disciples who are willing to share what He has placed inside them.
This message will challenge you to examine your heart, trust God's timing, embrace kingdom partnership, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform not just your behavior, but your desires.

Acts chapter 8. Acts chapter 8. We're going to pick up where we left off from last week. I'm excited about the word today. I believe that it's not only going to change you, but it's going to transform you. Our minds are going to be renewed. The word of God says that faith comes by hearing. And hearing the word of God. Acts chapter 8, verse 13, the NASB translation says, Now even Simon himself believed. And after being baptized, he continued on with Philip. And as he observed signs and great miracles taking place, he was repeatedly amazed. Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent them Peter and John, who came down and prayed for them that they would receive the Holy Spirit. For he had not yet fallen upon any of them. They had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent them, Peter and John, who came down and prayed for them that they would receive the Holy Spirit. For he had not yet fallen upon any of them. They had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. For a moment, I want to utilize this text for our subject matter today, entitled Share Fire. Share Fire. Two weeks ago, we heard fake fire. Last week we heard free people. Today it is shared fire. I believe it's something powerful that takes place. We don't hold on to what has been shared with us, but we share it as well. Amen. We know that you're here because you came with us. So God, we ask that you would flex your muscles in this place. We pray for everyone that is tuning in right now into the world. We ask that your spirit would be undeniable, wherever they may be. God, we give you all the glory, we give you all the honor, and we give you all the praise. In the name of Jesus, we pray. And everybody that's glad he is still alive and well, can you shout amen one time for loud? I think you can shout it louder than that. I say, can you shout it one time? Amen. Amen. So take your seats in Jesus' name. Now even Simon himself believed, and after being baptized, he continued on with Philip. And as he observed the signs and great miracles taking place, he was repeatedly amazed. Verse chapter 13, verse chapter 8, excuse me, verse 13. Simon is now a believer, and he continues on the journey with Philip. Luke tells us that Simon believed. Luke also shares with us that he was also baptized. And for those that are just jumping in on the journey with us, Simon is a former sorcerer. He is a former performer of witchcraft and magic arts. And now he has heard the word of God. He has experienced the power of God. He is a believer of Jesus Christ. He is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. And now we pick up on the journey of him following Philip. And he was attached to Philip. Yet later, Peter exposes unresolved issues in Simon's heart, which gives us an important revelation about our journey of faith with Jesus Christ. Conversion does not mean sanctification. Conversion and sanctification are not the same thing. Luke says Simon continued on with Philip. The Greek word for this implies he had a continual association with Philip. He watched Philip. He listened to Philip. He studied Philip and he studied the word of God. But deep down in his heart, he still had an affinity for the power that he thought he had left. He was no longer a performer, he was now a spectator. And for years, people were amazed by Simon. They were amazed by his ability to perform what the Word of God calls magic arts, as we would call it today, witchcraft, dark magic. And they were amazed by Simon, and now Simon, he is amazed by God. But just because he is amazed by God does not mean he has yet been transformed by God. The Word of God teaches us that at this particular point Simon stopped practicing witchcraft, but he still admired power. And if your focus and attention is not placed in the right place, you can be delivered from a thing and still find yourself going back to the thing that you were delivered from. I'm already preaching, don't worry, I'm coming right to you. That's why some of you are not in the relationship any longer, but you can't keep your mind off of the relationship that God delivered you from. That's why you're no longer in the same season you used to be in, and you moved into a new season, but you're bringing the bricks from the old season into the new season, and you're making the old house in a new place because your mind has not been delivered from the things that your soul has been set free from. And we see Simon, he's having this struggle with power. And a hunger for power often reveres what reveals a fear of true surrender. And people who are obsessed with being powerful usually are the same people that struggle with being submitted. You show me a person that is not surrendered and submitted to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and I'll show you a person that struggles with power. I'll show you a person that struggles with pride. I'll show you a person that has selfish ambition and ego that's driving their decisions away from the presence of God. And Simon, he's finding himself at this particular juncture in his life. He is a believer, but he is not yet a disciple. Look at me for a second. Just because you make a decision does not mean you are a disciple. What are you talking about? Just because you make a decision to follow Jesus does not mean you are a disciple of Jesus. What does a disciple mean? What is it to be a disciple? It means that you are disciplined by the word of God. You are disciplined by the presence of God. You are disciplined by the power of the Holy Spirit. You're not just a follower, you are a disciple who is submitted and surrendered to the will of God for your life and has dedicated your life to making sure that everyone you come into contact with knows your Redeemer. It is possible to follow Jesus from a distance. But it is impossible to be a disciple from a distance. It takes proximity, it takes closeness, it takes intimacy to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. You got to be close enough for him to put his hands on you if he needs to. As a follower, you can follow from a distance. You may know what the word of God says, but it doesn't mean that you're applying it and putting it into practice. A disciple applies the word of God, is disciplined by the word of God, and practices the word of God. And so we find Simon, he now believes. He's been baptized in the name of Jesus, but he is not yet a disciple. Therefore, he still has some of the old urges that he used to have. He still has some of the old attractions he used to have. He's been delivered out of a season, but his mind is still entangled with the things that he used to struggle with. That's where some of us find ourselves at today. You're in a new season, but your mind is still in the old. You're in a new relationship, but you can't get your mind off of him. You're married, but you can't get your mind off of her. Nobody knows who I'm talking to. Because deliverance from an action is easier than deliverance from an appetite. That's why some of you are still hungry for the things you've been delivered from. Because your appetite hasn't changed. Your actions have changed, but your appetite has remained the same. And you say, I uh I'm set free, I'm delivered. But you keep going back to the same thing that God delivered you from. You keep going back to the act that God delivered you from. And you say, I'll just delete it. Deleting it is not discipline. Deleting it does not mean you've been truly delivered from it. For some of us, deleting it is just avoiding the discipline we need to implement in storing the things that God has placed in our hands appropriately. It's easy to delete something you don't want to deal with. Y'all not talking to me, it's okay. I'll talk to myself. It's easy to delete a person you don't feel called to anymore, but sometimes God does not call you to delete a person that God is using you to deliver. Let me put it this way: I know it's gonna make a lot of y'all mad. You can stop doing someone and still secretly miss them. You ain't got to say nothing. Because you scared if you say amen, who you with now, go no. God doesn't want to just deliver your habits, he wants to deliver your heart so that you're no longer attached to the things that have been separating you from his presence and his power and his person. He doesn't just want what's in your hand, he wants what's in your heart so that you can be closer to him and intimate with him and discipled by him so that you can know who he is and not just know of who he is. Simon, he's a follower, but he hasn't yet experienced the freedom. Some people have changed their behaviors, but they're still protecting their idols, and Simon may not have vocally said that he still had some issues with pride, but we know that. Simon may have never voiced his difficulty with power and surrendering and submitting to Jesus, but we know that because the word of God says that. But the word of God gives us a statement that's powerful, we should hold on to. So he had struggles, but he also believed. He had some issues, but he also believed. You got some addictions, but you believe. You still curse like a sailor, but you believe. You you you you do wrong every single day, but you believe, which gives us an understanding of the grace of Jesus Christ. He will get you into a place where you understand your dire need for him, but he will allow you to go through the process of sanctification so you don't believe that you are perfect because the thing that robs you of the grace that only Jesus can give is your perfectionism. Hear me. Transformation is hard. Transformation is a process, and some of us think that transformation means perfectionism and it does not. The two things that will rob you of the grace of Jesus Christ is perfectionism and legalism. If you think that you're perfect, you've already been robbed of the grace of Jesus Christ. If you think that everything is a legalistic issue, then you're robbing yourself of the grace of Jesus Christ. Jesus did not come for you to have a life half full, he came for you to live life more abundantly, understanding that whatever you're going through, whatever you're faced with, no matter what the giant may look like, his grace is sufficient for you. And I want is anybody glad his grace is sufficient for your sin. His grace is sufficient for your sickness, his grace is sufficient for your sorrow, his grace is sufficient for your relationship, his grace is sufficient for you, his grace is sufficient for you, and he will not leave you where you are. He knows where you are. He knows how to find you when you think you're hiding from him. He knows how to keep you when you don't want to be kept. He knows how to get out of you the things that you've been burying and hiding on the inside of you and take those things, and he mixes them with his grace and his mercy, and he gives you a testimony that allows you to continue to run on to see what the end will be. And I'm so glad that I didn't die in the mess that tried to hold me hostage. I'm so thankful I didn't die and the sin that held me, bound, but his grace pounded me, and his love kept me, and his mercy covered me. And I wonder if there's anybody that has a testimony that God has been good to you and his grace. When you thought you were unsavable, he found you and saved you. When you thought you were unredeemable, he redeemed you when you thought that you you were stuck and would never move out of what it was that you were stuck in. He he grabbed you, he he put you up, he sent you on the path of righteousness from his namesake, because he is gone. And I'm so glad he is gonna God. I'm so glad he is in control and I am not in control. I'm so glad he is a way maker, and I don't have to make a way because when he makes a way, the little way after that I made it pairs in comparison to what he has done for me. So, how do I know when I truly am free the sins that once enslaved me? I'm free. Not only are my hands free, but my heart is free. For your environment to change faster than your motive. He's following Jesus, but he also has this power struggle on the inside of him. He's been baptized, dipped in water, brought back up. And he still has these things he's dealing with. But he continues to follow Jesus. And that's just verse 13. A powerful and profound verse. It paints for us a picture so vivid of understanding that you can leave people behind and still bring your problems with you. I'm pretty sure Simon's circle changed. I'm pretty sure he was no longer hanging with the witches in the warlocks. I'm pretty sure he was no longer living the same way that he once lived. And although he left people behind, he still bought some problems with them. How many of you be honest today and say, I bought some problems with me today? The good news is that the grace of Jesus will meet you right where you are. Changed who he followed. But he had not yet changed what he loved. And if you don't allow the Holy Spirit to change what you love, who you follow for this season may be temporary. Because love will always draw you back to what it is and who it is that you really love. And the way you understand and know if you are really a disciple of Jesus, is asking yourself the question: does he have my full heart? Does he have my full attention? Does he have all of me? Not some of me, does he have all of me? Not most of me, does he have all of me? Not the great majority of me. Does he have all of you? How do you know when he has all of you when you're doing stuff you don't even like doing? How do you know when he has all of you when you break your flesh? And you tell your flesh no. And you discipline this flesh to follow the leading of the Spirit of God on the inside of you. How do you know when you're being changed and transformed and maturing in the things of God when you can tell you no? Because the reality is living your old life does not automatically mean your old life has left you. Behavior can change overnight. But transformation happens over time. And some of you think that Jesus has left you because you made a decision to follow him. Continue to find yourself in this cycle and on this fairest will, where you have some really good days and then you have some really bad ones. And he has not left you. His word says, He'll never leave you, nor will he forsake you. The problem is, the problem is, is that the demons you enjoy playing with haven't left you either. And some of us would rather have the company of demons than be isolated with Jesus. Because the enemy caters to what we feel. The Holy Spirit grooms us for who we're becoming. And the problem with some of us, hear me when I tell you this. Your issue is that you always get what you want. You always get what you want. And when you don't get what you want, you throw a hissy fit. Don't come to church. Don't pray. Don't read. Don't worship. And then life begins to fall apart and you find yourself back at his feet because you understand you need him. But here's the difference. You don't necessarily want him. You gotta bring yourself to the point in life where you want him and nothing else. Not only do I need him, I want him. I want his presence. I want his person. I want to see him at work in and through me, but more importantly, I just want to see him. I need him, yes, but I warned him. There's a difference between being needed and being wanted. I want him. And I wish that we we had a generation of people that wanted the presence of the Holy Spirit. Not just understand our dire need for him. See, we tolerate his presence, we use his presence for our personal gain. And when we're sick, we pray and we seek his face and we get in the word of God. But but what happens in the moments where life is pretty good and we don't necessarily need him? My prayer is that we want him, we we long for him, we we're desperate for him. That is where Samaria finds itself in this text. Not only do they have a dire need for him, but they want him, they they want to experience more of who he is, and this is what the word of God says. The apostles hear about it in Jerusalem, and they send to Samaria Peter and John. This is important. Maybe one of the most important passages in all of the Acts of the Apostles. Because Peter and John were Jewish. This revival was breaking out in Samaria. Peter and John, by nature, did not like Samaritans. How do we know this? Because in Luke chapter 9, John asked Jesus, Should we pray down fire on these people? Should we pray that God would punish these people? And look at what the power of the Holy Spirit does. The power of the Holy Spirit sends Jewish people to Samaritans to confirm that the Holy Spirit is actually moving in this place. And so we're gonna come confirm this revival, pray for these people, lay hands on these people, and be a part of this great move of God. It's one thing for your family to agree with, do, it's one thing for your friends to agree with you, but it is only evidence of the power of the Holy Spirit at work when even your enemies agree that the Holy Spirit is doing something significant in your life and they have to testify about it. That's a real move of God, right there. That even your enemy has to testify of the goodness of God because of how your life has been changed and transformed. Why was this important? Why is this mentioned in the word of God? Because God was more focused on unity than he was popularity. Peter and John did not come to compete with Philip. They strengthened what God had already started. This text teaches us that Philip planted and Peter and John came and they watered it. No one fought for ownership, everybody fought for the people. Which teaches us a kingdom principle. This kingdom principle that this teaches us is that the kingdom of God advances when people stop protecting their names and start protecting his. This teaches us something. You should write this down. God will never sacrifice unity for speed. God will never sacrifice unity for speed. Some of you think the Holy Spirit is moving because things happen quick. But the real affirmation that the Holy Spirit is moving is that there's unity that follows. If something happens quick and there's no unity and agreement, it won't last. The real sign, according to this passage, is that there is unity. God could have poured his spirit out on everyone immediately at the same time. Instead, he slowed the process to protect the church. So it tells us something about the nature and the character of God. God would rather build something slowly that lasts than build something quickly that divides. Why is heaven not in a hurry? Because haste produces fractures. And when you're rushing, you miss certain steps. When you get to where you're wanting to be, you will realize that you've forgotten something on the journey. You ever been going somewhere and forget your wallet? Feeling all over your body like you keep your wallet up here? You're down by your ankles. What happened? You missed the step. And you've realized you've forgotten something important. Haste creates fractures. It pushes you beyond your ability to recognize what you need to bring along the way on this journey of faith. But something happens when you are patient and you wait on the Lord and you're being encouraged and you're rejoicing in the fact that He is going to deliver everything He desires to deliver in His timing and not in yours. Sometimes God will say, wait, because He sees what you don't. But God I want to be with them. Wait. But God I want the raise. Wait. But God, I want the job, wait. But God I want the increase. Wait. But God I want promotion. Wait. But God I want a new house. Wait. But God, I want a new car, wait. Well God, what am I waiting on? You are waiting to be developed so that when you get what you've been waiting on, you're mature enough to steward it for the long haul. Look at your neighbor, tell your neighbor, wait. I know you don't want to, but wait. Singles, listen to me, wait. Wait. Wait.
SPEAKER_01Pastor. I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting.
SPEAKER_00And I don't know if I can wait no more. And it could be the blessing you're frustrated by. Maybe the blessing God is protecting you from. So wait on the Lord and be of good courage. Again, I say, wait. I don't even know why I'm here. I just feel it in my spirit. Listen, listen. I feel this in my spirit. Someone has been abstinent for two years, and you are contemplating breaking that abstinence because you didn't met the right one, and you think, oh, I can give this to them, and God will understand. Listen to me, wait. What does it mean to wait? It means you're not going on vacation with them alone. Well, Pastor, we're grown adults. We can do whatever you want to. You're absolutely right, but I'm telling you, you are grabbing that person by the hand, and you're both leading yourselves into temptation. Temptation, you are not strong enough to defeat yourself, and you pray, God give me the strength, and God is telling you, no, I told you to cancel the trip in the first place. But we just go Netflix and chill. Maybe you're not strong enough to Netflix and chill. And you know you're not strong enough to next little chill. Maybe you need a hulu over FaceTime until you get the strength enough to Netflix and chill. What looks like delay on earth may look like mercy in heaven. And you sit here frustrated, and you're angry with God, and God has been protecting you this entire time. He's been keeping you, he's been keeping your mind in peace because if you got what it was that you've been praying for, you'd be so stressed that you'd be asking God to remove it out of your life because you are not developed and mature enough and grown enough and changed enough and transformed enough to stew it with. Be patient enough to let Him develop you. So that when you get it in your hands, it doesn't get entangled in your heart. Some things arrive late because God refuses to let them arrive broken. So I don't care how long it takes. I don't care how slow you gotta walk. When you step into that season, you will step into that season. Ho, nothing missing, nothing broken. And the reason it is late is because God does not want it to arrive. Fractured and broken, He wants it to arrive ho, just as you are whole. So point number one. The devil doesn't mind gifted people as long as they stay disconnected people. Philip had gifts. Philip was anointed. Peter had gifts. Peter was anointed. John had gifts. John was anointed. But Jesus did not let one of them take the credit for themselves. This revival that took place, this movement that was birthed, the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ, not one person could take credit for it. Only the power of the Holy Spirit at work through many would take the credit for it because God refuses to share glory with anyone. And the reason the door is still closed is because you're still trying to get glory for it. The reason the business is unsuccessful is because you're still trying to take credit for it. The reason you're still stuck in the same old season is because you want credibility in a season that God has called you out of. They are a lower class of people. They have this tone in their skin. They come from this background, they have that walk of life. Can you imagine what would have happened? The people that would have been lost between the cracks, the destinies that would have been delayed and stalled because they refused to step into greater purpose. They kept their preference. They moved in obedience because the kingdom of God is so much bigger than them. Your gift, it may open doors, but your isolation, it can close destiny. Some people are anointed enough to start something, but too disconnected to sustain it. And when God gives you a vision, when God gives you a dream, when God gives you a knowing, that there's something that you're going to do that is great. You have to understand that it is bigger than you and it will take more than you to accomplish what God has placed on the inside of you. That's why partnership is so important. That's why I don't want to do nothing without that girl. That's why it ain't me and a first lady. That's why you have two senior pastors. Because the devil is not afraid of isolated, gifted people. He is afraid of a unified front that comes into agreement with what the word of God says, that what the word of God tells us to do, and who the word of God tells us to become. That is who the enemy is afraid of. Some people are anointed to start something, but too disconnected to sustain it. That's why Celebration Church will never sit on an island. We'll always be connected to other churches. You've heard me say this before, and I tell you again if this is not your cup of tea, I will refer you to other great churches. Not just around the world, but right here in our city. Because the kingdom of God is not built off on personality. The kingdom of God is not built off one person. The kingdom of God is built off of what the Holy Spirit is doing through the works of many sons and daughters. The kingdom of God was never built on stars, it was built by the body. And if we're not a body, then we are a star trying to shine and take credit for what only the Holy Spirit deserves to get credit for. And you are not that important. God will elevate someone else and sit you down. Never think that it stops with you. Never think that it starts with you. Always walk to the throne with humility, and when you do, he gives you boldness to understand it is bigger than you. What I've learned is that many churches have power, but they like partnership. Insecure leaders want to be the big dogs. A secure leader wants to lock arm in arm with other great leaders and say, How can we push back the veil of darkness together? That's why there's a street preachers podcast. Not because we have to, but because we get to. We want to. We want to lock arm in arm with other churches and other great leaders around the Word of God to see the Word of God spread farther than we ever could, staying on an island, isolated, and being stingy and selfish with the gifts and talents that God had given us. Point number two is this people who need credit often miss what God is creating. If you always need the credit for something, you are missing an opportunity to see what God is creating. And what I've come to learn is some people don't want revival. They want recognition. They want to be recognized. They don't want revival. How do you know when true revival has hit your life and has hit your church? When no one takes the credit for it, only gives glory to the Holy Spirit. When we no longer want recognition, we just want and crave revival. Black people can worship beside white people and white people can worship beside. Latino people and Latino people can worship beside Asian people and Asian people can worship beside Africans and Africans can worship beside Indians and Indians can worship beside whoever God has called for them to worship beside because this is not about recognition. It is about the Spirit of God doing something so significant that not one person, not one church, not one woman can take the credit for it. You've been delivered and set free, but you got a memory on you. You can remember how bound you was, how stuck you was, how deep into that cycle of sin, how bad you wanted to break out of it, but your flesh kept pulling you backwards. And he set you free from that. You can remember five years ago when you thought you were gonna die. And he set you free from that. Scripture teaches us that Philip and Simon, they had Jesus, they believed in Jesus, they were followers of Jesus, they were baptized in the name of Jesus, but the Holy Spirit had not yet come. Which is a great encouragement to us. It teaches us that there is more that Jesus has for you than what you have already received. And have you ever thought to yourself, there has to be more than this? That there has to be more than waking up every day, clocking into my job, clocking out, going home miserable, watching TV on my couch, going to sleep, waking up to do the same thing over and over and over again. There has to be more to life than this. There has to be more. How do I know this? Because the word of God says that in his presence there is the fullness of joy and pleasures at his right hand forevermore. There has to be more. Peter and John came and prayed that they would receive the Holy Spirit to a people that they did not like. Which leads me to point number three. Only Jesus can make you pray for people you wanted to once punish. John asked Jesus in Luke chapter 9, should we call down fire from heaven? Jesus rebuked them. And years later, John returns to Samaria not to destroy, not to judge, but to pray. The same hands that once wanted to destroy them became the same hands that God used to bless them. How do you know when you've truly been and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, when you can pray for the same people you desired to punish? How do I know personally when I am maturing? How do I know when I'm becoming more like Jesus? How do I know when I'm walking in the purpose that Jesus has called for me to walk in? I know that I'm maturing when my first response is prayer and not punishment. When you hear their name and you pray for them, and I ain't talking about no crazy fake soft foo-foo prayer. I'm talking about you really pray for them that God would bless them, that God would open up doors for them, that God would keep and protect them, that God would lift them. I'm talking about you pray for the people that you once wanted to punish. That's how you know that you are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Not that you can speak in tongues. Not that you can shout until you're dizzy, not until you can cry until your ear ducts, your tear ducts run dry. It's that you can forgive those that hurt you and pray for those you desire to punish. Because the greatest evidence that Jesus changed your heart. It's not how you treat your friends, it's how you treat your enemies. How you treat those that you know don't like you, how you treat those that talk bad about you, how you treat those that curse you, how you treat those that know mean you wronged, how you treat those that you know desire evil and bad things, how do you treat them as a testimony? If you've been filled with the Holy Spirit or not, because only Jesus can turn resentment into intercession. The only way you can do that is when you remind yourself it's bigger than me. The grace I'm stewarding, it's bigger than me. The calling I'm stewarding, it's bigger than me. The relationship I'm stewarding, it's bigger than me. It's one thing for God to bless you with something that you can carry alone, but it's completely different when God blesses you so much, so big, that it takes partnership to carry it. It's bigger than you. The reason you won't be overwhelmed is because it's bigger than you. The reason you won't be taken out is because the call of God is bigger than you, the purpose of God is bigger than you, the plan of God it's bigger than you. It does not need you, but God desires to use you. It is bigger than you. Sure, God could have used Peter alone, sure God could have used John alone, sure God could have used Philip alone, but God decided that they would work in partnership so not one person could take the credibility and get the credit for what it was only the Holy Spirit could do. Because it is bigger than you. The reason you have to share your testimony is because it is bigger than you. The reason you have to testify about what Jesus has delivered you from is because it is bigger than you. The reason you have to keep waking up and acknowledging that today his new mercies overwhelming is because it is bigger than you. The reason the church was built to sustain and not die is because it is bigger than us. The reason this revival will not quit and it will continue on long after we are gone is because it is bigger than us. The reason the enemy will not win is because God's plan for your life is greater than you. Look at your neighbor, tell your neighbor it's bigger than you, it's bigger than you. Look at your other neighbor, remind them it's bigger than you. Revival doesn't belong to one voice because it is bigger than you. The harvest is too great for one harvester because it is bigger than you. It is bigger than you. Why? Because it is greater than you. How do I know it's greater than you? Because the word of God says, greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. And so Peter and John prayed. They shared the fire. And they prayed that the Holy Spirit would fall. They prayed that they would receive the Holy Spirit, and they prayed that they would be changed and transformed by the Holy Spirit. Look at me for a second. It's gonna take all of us. It's not just on me, it's not just on you, it's on all of us. This this fire, it is shared fire. It is like a fire shut up in my bones. And I refuse to allow what God has placed in our hands to be laid down because we did not operate in unity and agreement together. This fire, it is a shared fire because it is bigger than you. So let it go. You're holding on to it for dear life, but you can trust Jesus with it. I don't you think it's yours, it's not, you're just stewarding it. You can trust Jesus with it. Some of you are holding on to your marriage, you can trust Jesus with it. Some of you are holding on to your finances, you can trust Jesus with it. Every time you hear tithing and offering time, you hold on to what you got because you want to hold on to what you think is the last bit of what you got. But I'm telling you, you can trust Jesus with it. You're holding on to your relationships, you can trust Jesus with it. You're trying to hold on to your mind, you can trust Jesus with it, you're trying to hold on to your destiny, you can trust Jesus with it, you're trying to hold on to your kids, you can trust Jesus with them. You you're trying to hold on, and Jesus is trying to tell you, you can trust me with what it is that you love because I love those things and those people far beyond what you could ever think of or imagine. You can trust Jesus with it. So if you're here right now, you know you gotta release some things. Some of you gotta release your life. You gotta put it in his hands. Some of you gotta release some relationships, you gotta release some old seeds and some old mindsets, some old mentalities. Some of you, you gotta lay down your life so that he can pick it back up. You've been running in pride, you've been running in selfish ambition, you've been running in ego. Gotta lay it down. Head spiral, eyes close. If that's you, just lift both hands right now. Lift them, lift them, lift them, lift them, lift them, lift them. Lift them. Watch your line, put it in the chat. Let's me. Let's me. Let's meet. Here's the good news. The good news is Jesus has not brought you this far for you to remain half full. He desires to fill you. He desires to fill you with his presence. He desires to fill you with his power. He desires to fill you with his anointing. So I want everybody to repeat this script to me, Lord Jesus. I repent for my sin. And I ask that you would forgive me, cleanse me, reset me, redeem me, renew me so that I may be like you. I ask right now, by the power of the Holy Spirit, that you would save me and set me free. I confess with my mouth that I am in dire need of your grace. And I believe with my whole heart that you are the only one that can save me and deliver me. And so I believe in you and I believe in you alone. And I ask right now that you would send your spirit, the Holy Spirit, to fill me and to set me on fire, to set me ablaze, so that when people see me, they see a person that has been consumed by an all-consuming fire of the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Come on if you're grateful for the fire of the Holy Spirit. Put those hands together and take this moment to bless the name of Jesus. Come on, let's bless the hands of the blood.
